Non so cos’è l’amore, ma so cosa non è

«Hi, my name is Jens Lekman. This song is about my best friend when I lived in Melbourne, Australia. We used to spend each friday night and saturday night just cruising up and down the streets, listen to all this radio, look at the girls, talk about life.
At some point we started talking about getting married so I could get into the country. We had both come out from these relationships at the time and we were kind of bitter and cynical at the time. The idea of building this relationship on something constructed, something with a purpose, rather than some vague feeling that could change at any time felt so comforting and liberating at the time.
But the problem was that, in order for this to work, I would never be able to tell the story, I would have to keep it a secret for forever. And that didn’t really work for me, because I’m Jens Lekman. So I wrote this song about it. And I left the country.
It's also a song about the grey areas of love that you have to explore using the process of elimination, in order to find out even not what love is, but at least get a bit closer to it. So this song is called I know what love isn't

Dopo il singolo (un po' deludente) Erica America, ecco la versione acustica del pezzo che dà il titolo al nuovo attesissimo disco di Jens Lekman, suonata negli studi del Guardian. Che dire? WOW.
